As the title says, I've decided to strip my laundry of red and khaki! Target was giving me full-time hours, but it wasn't quite worth the drive and pay, so after I completed my lifeguard training at the Y in Palo Alto, I looked into the starting pay and talked over the scheduling with the head lifeguard and swim coach - turns out it's worth it! So, starting October 1st I'll be a Y employee again! Woo-hoo! (My body is looking forward to the membership, too. Ugh.)
Other than that, both Andrew and I are looking forward to him being off the road for awhile. He's been in ND for the weekend for one of his best friend's wedding and he's coming back just for the night tonight, and then getting back on a plane early tomorrow morning for another few days of training. HOPEFULLY, he will be back Thursday night and will be here to stay for the rest of September. His new job officially starts October 1st - give us a call if you want details - and since his territory is so compact, we're hoping that there's only going to be a couple nights a month that he'll be in a hotel. Again, hoping!
Last update - I'm "participating" in a mini-triathlon this coming weekend in Pleasanton. Not "competing." It's going to be a struggle, just because half the time I consider standing on my feet in Target a workout. Oops. Update on if I survive later...
Good luck this weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhere's the follow-up post about whether you survived? Or is the lack of a follow-up a big hint?
