i must say, it is much too cold in nd.  i realize that i was there during the coldest week of this winter season, but it was ridiculous!  i don't think it was above 10 degrees when i was there, except for of course the day we left!  ha!  anyways, enough complaining.  we hopped off the train around midnight over here and it was 56 degrees, so really i should get over it.
here are some of the highlights from our trip back up north:

the only time we spent more than 5 minutes outside was to play with dax or shovel (of course, i was only outside long enough to take a couple shots & shuffle back inside!)

i don't think andrew realized how much he missed his pup until this moment!
.

hanging out with mama e.

visiting with g & g g. with dave
diane was nice enough to host a gathering at her house to catch-up with some close family -- so we wouldn't have to coordinate visits to everyone's houses.  it was much appreciated!

i only brought out the camera once to catch some great grandparent action.

so cute!

a and dad trying to program the fireplace remote.  (unsuccessfully.)

we made a quick trip out to des lacs to visit with g & g e and aunt carmen, along with emily & spencer.

a celebrated his birthday on saturday, so of course we had a quick gift opening -- look at the cute packaging diane created!

justin & natalie f. were around the whole weekend with us -- if only they would come to ca and be our double-date partners...

cousin brian s. was skiing in denver & happened to be flying out as we were transferring flights, so we were able to grab dinner & catch-up.

again, if only he would move to ca we would have more fun!
great trip, but glad to be back in ca.  can i just say that they are mowing the lawn outside our building?  ha!
thanks all!
